Join us for our three-part series as we explore the wild edibles of Appalachia. This will be a hands-on journey into the bounties of the season as we explore the art of safely and sustainably foraging and processing these wild gems.
All activities are voluntary but everyone must stay with the group during the event.

Each class will begin with a farm activity, we’ll take a lunch break by the creek (bring your own food and drink), and in the afternoon we’ll learn about and make a unique natural craft!

Introduction to Maps and Compass
**Event Full - This class will focus on beginner map and compass skills for kids. Once we have some practice, we will put our skills to the test with a compass guided scavenger hunt. What to bring: -your compass -water to stay hydrated -notebook or nature journal
Macroinvertebrate Exploration
**Event Full -Macroinvertebrate Lesson with Caleb of Ever Wilder Farm: Join us in the creek to collect and identify macroinvertebrates! Learn what these tiny aquatic insects can tell us about the water quality of our streams! Wear rain boots or something that can get a little wet.
Bee Keeping and Pollinators Class
**Event Full- Come join us to learn about beekeeping and pollination from a local beekeeper, Mr. Clark.
